March 2017 Movie Guide

from The Belko Experiment

These are my picks (complete with the reason for my choice) for the movies coming to theaters in March, but feel free to check out all of March's releases by visiting the Internet Movie Database's Coming Soon page.

week of March 3

Director: James Mangold
Why? It's Wolverine, man!

week of March 10

Why? King Kong movies are generally fun, and they picked a great cast.

Director: Julia Ducournau
Why? Not even sure if I'll see it, but I'm including it because the concept is interesting - vegetarian eats meat for the first time and transforms...

week of March 17

Director: Bill Condon
Why? I'm sure this will be great, but, to be honest, I'm not as excited for it as I have been Disney's other live-action adaptions.

Director: Danny Boyle
Why? The whole gang has returned for this sequel to the original cult classic.

Director: Greg McLean
Why? Because who hasn't wanted to murder their coworkers at one time or another?

week of March 24

Director: Dean Israelite
Why? I remember the original incarnation of Power Rangers… and having a crush on the pink ranger. Looks like this movie may add some legitimacy to the franchise, instead of just having teenagers run around in wacky pajamas with swords and yell "It's morphin' time!"

Rebecca Ferguson as Dr.Miranda North in “Life” (2017)
Director: Daniel Espinosa
Why? While I'm sure we could've come up with a better title, this story looks pretty intriguing, like be careful what you wish for.

Director: Dax Shepard
Why? Another tv show I remember from my youth. Looks funny.

Director: Craig Johnson
Why? This is the type of movie I love to watch in a small theater on a Sunday afternoon.

week of March 31

Director: Rupert Sanders

Why? Enjoyed the original anime movie, so I'm looking forward to this. And wondering how many people don't even know it's based on something else.
