March 2014 Movie Guide

These are my picks (complete with the reason for my choice) for the movies coming to theaters in March, but feel free to check out all of March's releases by visiting the Internet Movie Database's Coming Soon page.

Friday, March 7

Director: Wes Anderson
Why? Wes Anderson.

Director: Noam Murro
Why? 300.

Enemy starring Jake Gyllenhaal
Friday, March 14

Director: Denis Villeneuve
Why? Based upon the trailer, this will be pretty intense.

Director: Scott Waugh
Why? I don't have a real good reason, but it looks like it might be something to tide us over until they figure out how they're going to do the next Fast & Furious movie without Paul Walker.

Director: Jason Bateman
Why? Seems like it has the potential to be really funny.

Friday, March 21

Director: James Bobin
Why? It's tough to go wrong with muppets and tons of celebrity guest stars.

Director: Lars von Trier
Why? I'm genuinely intrigued. This director is quite creative, and while I loved his movie Antichrist, I was bored to tears by Melancholia.

Friday, March 28

Director: Darren Aronofsky

Why? Great director. Great cast.  But isn't it a little soon for a remake of Evan Almighty? (I'm sorry if this is the second time you've seen me make that joke, but I couldn't resist.)
