2 Guns

Director: Baltasar Kormákur

Stars: Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, Paula Patton, Bill Paxton

o    Why? Denzel and Wahlberg.

The Smurfs 2

Director: Raja Gosnell

Stars: Hank Azaria, Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Katy Perry

o    Why? Because tra la la-la-la-la, la la-la-laa.

Friday, August 9th

Elysium

Director: Neill Blomkamp

Stars: Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, Alice Braga

o    Why? This is the same director that delivered the fantastic District 9.

Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters

Director: Thor Freudenthal

Stars: Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Nathan Fillion, Brandon T. Jackson

o    Why? The first one was pretty good. This one has Nathan Fillion, so it's already better.

Friday, August 16th

Kick-Ass 2

Director: Jeff Wadlow

Stars: Chloë Grace Moretz, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jim Carrey, Christopher Mintz-Plasse

o    Why? Because the first one was so awesome, I'm counting on this one to be just as awesome if not moreso.

The World's End

Director: Edgar Wright

Stars: Rosamund Pike, Simon Pegg, Martin Freeman, Nick Frost

o    Why? Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are an unbeatable team, and Edgar Wright has proven on more than one occasion that he knows how to direct them.

You're Next

Director: Adam Wingard

Stars: Sharni Vinson, Nicholas Tucci, AJ Bowen, Joe Swanberg

o    Why? I'm kinda hoping that this horror movie is about tracking down people who mix-up "your" and "you're" to torture them.

Friday, August 30th

This will be the weekend to avoid the theater since it will be swamped by tweens going to see the One Direction movie.  Ethan Hawke has a new movie this weekend, but Selena Gomez is in it.  I'm not sure how I feel about that.
