These are my picks (complete with the reason for my choice) for the movies coming to theaters in February, but feel free to check out all of February's releases by visiting the Internet Movie Database's Coming Soon page.

- The Woman In Black
Director: James Watkins
Stars: Daniel Radcliffe, Janet McTeer, Ciarán Hinds, Emma Shorey- Why? A scary movie with Daniel Radcliffe in his first post-Harry Potter role.

- Chronicle
Director: Josh Trank
Stars: Michael B. Jordan, Michael Kelly, Alex Russell, Dane DeHaan- Why? Three ordinary guys gain superpowers in a non-superhero movie. There are no silly costumes here. This is probably what would happen if one of your friends got powers.

- The Innkeepers
Director: Ti West
Stars: Sara Paxton, Pat Healy, Kelly McGillis, Alison Bartlett- Why? Ti West did a great job with The House Of The Devil, so I'm curious to see what his new horror movie is all about.

- Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
Directors: Mark Neveldine | Brian Taylor
Stars: Nicolas Cage, Ciarán Hinds, Idris Elba, Violante Placido- Why? It doesn't look like much of the original cast is back, if you even remember them from 5 years ago, but at least Nic Cage is back. Regardless of your feelings of him as an actor, at least Ghost Rider isn't playing the constant switcheroo like the Hulk is.

- This Means War
Director: McG
Stars: Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine, Tom Hardy, Til Schweiger- Why? Admittedly, I'll probably wait till this comes out on video, but a romantic comedy with explosions looks pretty fun.

- Gone
Director: Heitor Dhalia
Stars: Amanda Seyfried, Jennifer Carpenter, Wes Bentley, Daniel Sunjata - Why? Amanda Seyfried! Plus, Jennifer Carpenter from Dexter. And I'm not sure what role Wes Bentley is playing, but he's pulled off some really creepy roles since American Beauty.
